Vision Alliance

Vision Alliance is a collaborative initiative led by the International Council for Education of People with Visual Impairment (ICEVI), the International Agency for the Prevention of Blindness (IAPB), and the World Blind Union (WBU). The alliance was established to strengthen coordination and increase shared impact across the three organizations at global, regional, and national levels.

Through this partnership, ICEVI contributes to improving systems and services for people with visual impairments by aligning efforts with partners in the fields of education, eye health, and advocacy.

The Vision Alliance focuses on three main areas of collaboration:

• Information exchange
  The alliance works to strengthen communication mechanisms between the three organizations to support timely, purposeful sharing of knowledge, tools, and updates.
• Joint advocacy on shared priorities
  By identifying areas of mutual concern, the partners collaborate on advocacy efforts that aim to influence policies, practices, and systems that impact people with visual impairments.
• Inclusive planning platforms
  The alliance supports the creation of spaces where people with lived experience, family members, educators, voluntary organizations, and eye health professionals can contribute to the design and delivery of comprehensive services.
