  2. Advocate and campaign for access to quality and accessible education for all learners with visual impairment.

Goal 2: Policy Influence and Implementation of International Commitments

Goal 3: Strengthening Collaboration and Knowledge Sharing

Improve networking, information sharing, and collaboration at national, regional, and global levels to enhance inclusive education for people with visual impairment.

Strategic Developments (2022-2025)

Between 2022 and 2025, ICEVI strengthened its position as a global membership network advancing inclusive education for people with visual impairment. Through its regional structures and global engagment, and diverse membership network, ICEVI brought together diverse stakeholders to exchange knowledge, align strategies, and contribute to systemic change.

Regional Boards provided coordination and strategic oversight for region-specific activities aligned with ICEVI’s overall mission. These efforts supported the development of regional constitutions, national focal points, and proposals for collaboration—all grounded in ICEVI’s values and goals.

At the global level, ICEVI deepened its engagement with multilateral organizations, Organizations of Persons with Disabilities (OPDs), civil society partners, and national education systems. This included contributions to policy dialogue, collaborative research, and participation in key forums promoting inclusive and equitable education. ICEVI’s continued emphasis on partnership, alignment, and shared learning reinforced its commitment to advancing educational access and opportunity for learners with visual impairment.
